Would tomorrow morning be a good time to bring Ady and CeCe and Jack over for a visit? We are going swimming after lunch, since it's to be a warm day. On Monday we went hiking in Waterton, and we saw a grizzly bear from the road,

and 3 mountain sheep on the trail right in front of us. And several chipmunks, who helped us eat our lunch. Jack also saw an elephant in a boat on Waterton lake and he heard a gorilla in the woods as we hiked. The rest of us did not see the elephant or hear the gorilla. Jack said it's because he has very sensitive ears.

Yesterday we went and played at Jack's house in the morning, and then we went to a movie in the afternoon...Night At The Museum. We ate Sour Patch Kids candies and drank pop and laughed and giggled lots. We also went to the Dollar Store and bought a bunch of wonderful stuff to play with. Today we went visiting teaching to my friend's house who has a little girl named Hannah. So after that, Hannah came over to visit and we played and jumped on the trampoline till Jack came out to play...

...then we all played with Kyle's lego, and went for a wagon ride downtown to the post office. We also made cookies and pizza. Every night they watch movies on the big screen downstairs with Grampa till they fall asleep, and then they wake up at 8:30 or so, and we do it all over again. Jack has come for sleepovers twice, and this weekend they are all going camping with Rachel and Derek to Writing-On-Stone, and Stuart and I will join them Saturday.
SO, we are having a WONDERFUL time!!!!the one of the trail...look carefully and you will see the mountain sheep!

The grizzly bear was VERY exciting. Luckily we were in the truck when we saw it or Ady would have had a panic attack (she has been afraid of seeing a grizzly bear all summer).
Red Rock Canyon with chocolate milk running through it (a huge rainstorm in Waterton the day before).

Filling the gas tank of grampa's golf cart (Madison is a great driver).

oh, and the ice cream ones...it was melting all over them, and they were all a little dismayed. LOL.

Jack, I have tried and tried and I can't see the gorilla or the elephant in any of these pictures. They must've been hiding in the big tall timbers. Probably Grandma Linda was so scared she might see them, she couldn't even take any more pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeff, for making sense of all my pics and comments. You are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIf i put my reading glasses on, i think i can see the mountain sheep. Far down the trail, on the right? Neato.
ReplyDeleteSo cute Linda! It must be even more fun for you now, doing all this fun stuff with your grands now, just like you did with all the family kids in the past!
ReplyDeleteaaawww...thanks, Jackie. Yes, it's so fun to have grandkids now. I loved having your girls here those few times. I have the best memories of them, and I'm so glad to have pictures to remind me. It's awesome to follow your blog as they grow to be such gorgeous chicklets!!!
