Slight clarification.

There's been a bit of discrepancy between Uncle Jack's obituary and the email Mother sent out last Sunday morning, saying he had passed away on Saturday evening...so, it's been investigated, and here is Mother's email explaining the whole thing.

"Well, I just talked to my sister at the farm, she's staying on with Jean until Aug 5, to help her over the grieving hump. Jack actually passed away on Saturday the 18th, but they were still trying to get him back till after midnite, unsuccessfully of course. The hospital DID actually phone at 10:30 p.m. AND THE DOCTOR'S CERTIFICATE WAS DATED JULY 19TH, THAT'S WHY THEY PUT THAT DATE ON THE PROGRAM AND OBITUARY. So that explains all the confusion, the official date therefore is July 19th.
Lori and Sandra are still there with Jean and Chris, the girls are leaving today. Jean has our Naylor family flowers by her fireplace, Chris says they're absolutely gorgeous and haven't faded a bit. She gave away some to close rellies, kept a few, and took the rest to the Lodge and the hospital. There were so many of them.
The kids (Bruce, Chris Andrews, Lori, Arla) are talking FAMILY REUNION, without benefit of funerals, for NEXT YEAR, 2010. And they're suggesting SALT LAKE CITY, Utah!! I am floored. This was not an LDS suggestion, by the way. And Chris wants to be the cook! (my niece, your intrepid cousin, she's an amazing girl)."
