Post number...?
Shorthanding here, i like base ten posts, eager to get to post 90, so i'm laming it up with some dumb some'in' you know what, pics of my plants. Enjoying a day in the clean Alberta sun. Then some midday reflections from Saskatchewan Drive, and a nice aerial shot of the skyline i nicked somewhere. My building is the little six story at the left edge of the frame, furthest front in the downtown cluster. And the few streets and avenues of houses frame right foreground? Our first neighbourhood.

What are the white specklaes oln the apartment building,are they birds? Even enlarged I can't quite make them out. Your plants are looking great, per usual. You have the greenest thumb!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know quite what you meant until i looked, you mean on the roof of the condos to my south, the white bits are roof vents for various bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms.
ReplyDeleteHey, Jeff, that aerial shot is wonderful. I can clearly make out exactly where our old house at 9630-99A street is, we were only l row of houses from the river's edge, that was 99B street, where the cop Bill Pacholok lived, the one that shot our crazed dog with the running fits. And where the old guy with senile dementia used to make his little rivers with a stick after a rain. Can't remember his name for the life of me, started with a "C", I think. And also on B Street were the Steen's, remember,(older kids) he was disabled somehow, with a wife Mabel, a passel of young-uns, and he made violins. My brother Bob dated their pretty daughter Pat when he was going to University and living with us. If I remember right, their daughter Lila (tall girl) joined the Air Force. Getting back to the aerial shot, doesn't the Macdonald Hotel look pathetic? I can remember when it dominated the skyline, I went down to the riverbank about 100 feet away to take a picture of it, and remember hearing a beaver slap its tail smack-smack on the water 'way below at the edge of the river. Some kind of warning signal to the rest of his pack.....maybe he didn't tolerate cameras clicking.
ReplyDeleteYeah, i like that aerial pic, cause it shows how close my current home is to my first home. (Well, after the old UofA hospital's baby section).
