Hey, These flowers are so gorgeous. Love the impatiens. How on earth do you grow them so healthy? They look better than anything I've seen in greenhouses...
We have had such a CRAPPY spring summer that NO ONE has flowers around here.It just never got nice enough to be brave enough to put them out( and Im talking costco bought ones even)I wished you lived next door to me!
mim, dunno, they just seem to enjoy the northern exposure..i bought them at the farmers market, now in the old bus barns, north of the strathcona hotel..i'm quite surprised by their success..i've always loved impatiens, grew them on southern exposure years ago, in scattered shade, a robin chose to build nest in one stand of pink, cedar box i built, tramped down half the planter, i built a smaller, square cedar box, placed next to, moved nest to, and she bought it, fledged 3 chicks too. didn't seem to mind me close by.
lr, my dear sis, someday i'll be blogging the outdoor brick planter box attached to my building, previously filled with weeds, where i put white and lilac violas, and red, white and pink begonias.
deb, i dunno, weather has been sunny enough, lots of rain and thunder last few days, but doesn't seem to bother the flowers, or the indoor plants spending good times outside. my indoor red leaf shamrock loves it outside, 5 new leaves in the last few days, and even flowered once already, flowers being white with red stripes, i liked seing that, a surprise, it's been hard to grow shamrocks for me, but i seem to be getting there. judy has a beautiful pot of red shamrocks i've seen at her place, she should take a picture of them. judy.
